European Finance Director
bout the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic European Finance Director to lead the financial management, planning, and performance of our European operations. This leadership role will be responsible for driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, supporting business growth, and partnering with senior management across multiple European markets.
The successful candidate will provide financial direction, strengthen internal controls, and deliver insights that support strategic decision-making throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all finance activities across European entities and operations.
Develop and execute regional financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis processes.
Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury, and liquidity planning.
Partner with commercial, operational, HR, and executive teams to support business objectives.
Lead risk management initiatives and strengthen internal control frameworks.
Coordinate external audits and relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Drive process improvements, financial systems optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
Build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across the region.
Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic projects when required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within multinational organizations.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, corporate finance, taxation, and compliance across European markets.
Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous.
